Zain e-Go

I'm using Zain's e-Go for quite sometime now and the speed isn't exactly that fast. I mean i know that the speed reaches up to 7.2 MB depending on the load but it couldn't possibly be slow as below 3.6 MB confused

I'm experiencing low downloading rates in uTorrent where I keep seeing the yellow signal (No incoming connections) or the red (The firewall\router is blocking your port). I've experienced this before with W-net but it was fixed by changing the port. Now, i changed the port number, allowed encryption, added uTorrent to the list of firewall exceptions but nothing changed.
Bear in mind that some downloads are progressing but in a really low speed rate.

I got the feeling that the problem is with my ISP, so i called 107. But what do you expect! bunch of idiots telling you i don't know what you're talking about mad

So is there something i can do? has any one been in this before?

You have a download limit, after that the connection drops back to low speed. They don't mention this straight forward.

Leave a comment in Kuwait ISPs so everyone knows about this.

unfortunately, you have fallen under the evil false advertising of Zain e-Go..

they make you think that you're getting 7.2 mb (megabytes) when in fact you are getting 7.2 mgb (megabits).. BIG DIFFERENCE.. you are actually getting 0.9 mb

Not well versed in this area (even though I am a computer geek). But utorrent is a bit different from you other usual download. If you're getting yellow it means that the port isn't open. I suffer this a lot and I have to keep changing until one is open.

Using mobile based internet ( HSDPA in ur case ) is extremely restricted, almost every ports are closed ( i.e. can't be forwarded ) so downloading torrents or let say from rapidshare is impossible with this type of connection

Oh didn't you know? Zain e-go blocks p2p sharing programs. I used to use limewire a lot and after i got zain e-go it stopped working. Even tried downloading other programs they all don't work coz of Zain 6eezo
