This post is quite long and contains high amounts of whining, b----ing and m---ing. If you have a good life to enjoy i suggest you you skip this post for your own health. My car has been making noises with its safayif [don't know what's that in English] so i thought it was the time for them to be replaced. Therefore i went out and bought new and genuine ones straight from the dealership. My dad alternatively thought that changing them outside the dealership would cost much less than the dealer service itself ===> my encounter #1.
I insisted doing them though in the dealership, it's much safer; that's one, and because i prefer doing things by the hand of it's original manufacturer no matter how much the cost is, that's two. But noooo, that's what you get by having a 7asawi dad (!).
Now they are successfully installed, and i enjoyed rides free from all the squeak ............... for a week. Until they started squeaking again, this time in a much louder manner in which the sound itself manifested into a symphony!
I consulted my dad, mainly suggesting that there's either something wrong with them or the mechanic who changed them was a moron. All he said was it is a normal thing, they should make a sound until they lean a little or it's simply dust which should vanish within days ===> encounter #2.
It's been exactly 3 months now ..............
And oh my god how embarrassing the sound is. I simply can't stop at a traffic light, pay for a fuel or park without being looked at!!! Yes, that's how loud it is. And thank god i have a dark sunglasses so that no one will figure out the identity behind that horrible-sounded car :(
3 months have passed and I've been nagging on my dear father and my beloved brother to solve the problem. And all i keep getting in return was tomorrow, after tomorrow, Saturday, Friday, this afternoon, Monday's morning, the following day and the rhyme continues ===> encounter #3.
I reached the point of KHALA9 THAT'S IT! I'M TAKING IT MYSELF! Just spare me the agony!
And what do you know? i went to the garage myself with all the high heels and large satchel amongst the monstrous and greasy men, being look at, again, at the weired visit. I got off the car and said: lo sama7at chayekly 3al sefayif, wa shof el tuwayer etha yabeelohom tafkh oo b3d mara wa7da na'6if el makeena ......... 3 phrases i never thought I'd say ever in my life!!
Anyhow, he checked it all and said there's nothing wrong with my safayif because they were brand new, however, el deskat yabelehom khara6a. And thus being naive when it comes to cars, i called my dad and told him what the mechanic has just told me, because i don't wanna be taken advantage of as being a foolish girl.
And what did he say .......? ma 3laich mena yuba khaleeha ana akheth-ha chithy yom achayiklech 3laiha ===> encounter #4.
Today morning, he was suppose to take it for a ride and see what the problem is. I intentionally left my keys next to his so that he doesn't forget about my long procrastinated issue. And what a surprise, i woke up to see that both my car and his are not at the house which possibly indicates that there's no way on earth that he drove them both and could also possibly indicate that somebody else MUST HAVE TAKEN MY CAR!!!!! and who would that be ....? my mom!!
I thought i left my freaking car keys to get it checked, not cruised with!!! :'(
I ultimately called my mom with full rage inquiring why my dad hasn't taken my car whilst she did. And what did she say? oboch ma fe'6a!!!! ===> encounter #5.
It's been THREE months people!!! please my nerves are boiling like hell .......!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, are there any siblings i can rely on!!! what do i have to wait forever just to see what the problem is!!!! I'm starting to lose my femininity, and going to garages myself would definitely kill it!

14 Interruptions:
Take it yourself, ask for money later ;P
Want me to take for you? 10 KD only. Last offer. :P
Your dad is a typical procrastinator, most of us are just like that. I know I am.
It doesn't take a scientist to change brake pads thus taking it to another place than the dealer is not a problem. The dealer will charge more money yet I doubt they'd fix the sound issue by just changing the pads.
Scoring up the disks will probably solve the problem but if it doesn't then I'm afraid your brake calipers are loose and when you hit the brake they move slightly touching the wheel. To make sure about this when they take of the wheels look for scratches on the inner surface of the wheel, if there are scratches then ask the mechanic to fix the calibers.
Good luck.
its from all the speed bumps in q8 that make everyone's wheels/brakes/whatever squeak like that.
allah ye3enech! and good luck
Ala e3enich. But in fairness to your father, almost all fathers are like this, so no worries
i thought you said once you just got your car , its new !!! girl sheno sawety blcar :D lol !!!
anyways .. i know that sound happened with my car once .. my god i hate it !!! girl may5alf inshala would be fixed soon :*
Oh god, it's such an awkward situation to go to a garage on your own. Everyone gives you the stare! But since you've been brave enough.. do it again and get the embarassment over with for yourself.
Brothers are the most useless pieces of crap there is. Just go and do it ypurself, gone are the days our "men" take the cars to garages. Take it to the dealership and i bet you'll see girls nafs 7altich. And take it before the disks get damaged cuz thats expensive to replace, i think.
just take it urself man
or rakbay oboch ma3ach n drive to a garage!

There is something SO empowering about taking care of your own car. Like all of a sudden, you are one of the big gurls, no longer fearful and cowering, but taking your own car in and paying your own bills.
If you really want to lose your feminity, get someone to show you how to change your own oil and filters, change your own tires, etc. I had to take a course in that, but I've never really done it myself. (ewwwww, dirty hands.)
