I've formated my PC to Vista OS due to an error that occured in XP which made it impossible to back up any data. And with a strong emphasis on the technician, i insisted on REFRAINING from formating the D drive. STUPID FUCKING IDIOT DORK MORON SO-CALLED TECHINICIAN FORMATED D!!!!!!!!! Now all my work, college documents, 6GB music, 11GB movies, 3GB pictures and personal images that documented my whole life without it being stored in other place were ALL FUKCING REMOVED.
I AM SOOOOOO PISSED GOD DAMN IT!! >:0
Please tell me there's a way of restoring my D data or otherwise you'll hear a murder committed by a girl against an Indian in the newspaper the next day!!!!

Anybody knows a software called Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery v.3? i really need the full release with the activation code. A torrent file or a link maybe can be really helpful. I've downloaded a full release only an older version and can't recover all files but this one does its job prefectly good.

but seriously, never trust those techs. Everything is solved with a format. That's why I bought an external hardisk, backed up my stuff before sending my hardisk for repair.
and I insisted NOT to have my E: drive formatted..but they did

There is a chance that you may be able to recover some things.
Did they write any new material on the D drive? Was this a respectable place/company? Windows?
There are a number of softwares that might work, and if they don't some [good] techs might be able to recover the formatted drive (might be expensive). I don't know what your pc is, but I know alsarraf offer recovery services to their pcs (acer), so it all depends on your system.

Ouch, I'm sooooo sorry :( That really, really sucks.
As Q8e says, there are ways to unformat your drive, as long as he didn't write anything else on D. Even if there is data written, just leave that drive alone until you get an unformatting utility.

I don't think you can restore those files unless you have a back-up for them!? but it seems that you didn't do that!

Ms Loala, it is recoverable, but it'll take some time. I suggest you avoid using the computer until you can get ahold of recovery software.

I will NEVER trust those idiots again, i would've done the format myself but the problem was with the OS itself, it couldn't be started therefore i wouldn't know how the CD would work, besides, i don't know how to skip formating a certain drive.

The place is Proffesional center in Wala2 complex and as far as i can tell, they're way far from being proffesional :\
I've tried some of the websites you gave but they don't recover all files however, i found one that does recover all files only it needs to be activated in order to save the results :\

my advice, back up and learn to fix your own problems.
First off you need to buy an external hard disk to back up everything every once in a while.
