Some men don't have the delicacy and tactfulness in this world,
Some men think they outsmart a lady,
Some men aren't polite,
Some men don't know how to treat a woman,
Some men should learn serious lessons about social manner,
Some men aren't tact enough to let a girl step in the elevator first. Seriously, what happened? I waited today for the elevator to arrive and there were 5 guys who came on few seconds later, when it finally arrived (and i was the nearest to the door) they passed right through me!!! i mean i had to allow them to enter first!! Aren't they suppose to let ME first!!!

this reminds me of an incident I had years ago.
I was standing in a queue and a woman behind me smiles at me and says:
"hey, you are so cute, I am sure you have the courtesy to allow a lady like me to take your place"
I smile back and say: "maam, you believe in women rights?"
she says: "of course I do"
I reply back: "so you believe that women are equal to men. so you are gonna remain behind me"
I swear that if she said that she doesn't, I would have let her coz we men RESPECT women and will allow them by default.
I just felt like telling this story. I don't mean anything.

Mine didn't require trading places, only for a man to have the courtesy to allow me first ....

as for the elevator incident yeah i'm starting to see it happen more and more XD personally i try to be courteous as much as i can but sometimes your speed walking to a door for instance and you notice the woman trying to go through a bit to late to stop so u just go ahead ( usually happens when i'm really late for something )
other than that i believe woman should have the right of way (unless there driving but thats another subject ;p)

In my case i was the one to arrive at the elevator first, so it's not basically about courtesy, it's about my right since i was the nearest to the door ..

Ok, you're right, but sometimes that complies on women too. Listen to my side of story... I'm a guy and I've been waiting for the elevator for a while, then a group of girls come so I had to stand back and let them take it. Push the button again and wait, then a couple of girls come so I had to let them take it. Once again I click on the button and wait and guess what? Another group of girls come waiting for the elevator. What should I do? go for the stairs or become impolite and don't stand back? I mean I've been polite twice already.
