I went to The Body Shop the other day to buy make up brushes, actually to buy this kind in particular. I couldn't find any other sizes however since i wanted at least three (large, medium and small) so i stuck to this one. I asked how much is it and what a surprise it costs 4kd. I was like shut up! a single make up brush for 4kd? (but i found out that the prices in the website are the same too, so yea. But still, a brand name doesn't qualify a brush to cost that much!! argggh, whatever). So i bought it so that i don't sound cheap.

Anyhow, i went out and noticed this tiny little shop at the corner that sells extreme affordable cosmetics like Rimmel, Nivea, L'Oreal and etc so i got in and i saw a stand full of brushes and professional sets as well. Each set contained at least FIVE different kind of brushes and how much did it cost? a god damn 2kd. Can you believe it? 2 dinars for 5 different brushes! that's like worth 25kd at body shop.

Talking about bargain, i went back to body shop to ask for refund (hell yea, 2 kd would come in handy for parking tickets at my work so don't dare judge :p). The salespersons were shocked to see me again asking for a refund. I told them i changed my mind. But noo, what did they say? it's not accepted by the shops policy to refund since i bought it by Knet. I was like WTH!! I work in a freaking bank and i know that Knets are refundable and i most certainly know that Body Shop refund money since it's not a local shop. And i damn know that Knets are refundable, damn it! They told me that the machine won't open since there's no receipt. I told her look at the Knet's receipt you'll find the item's number there there's no room for jerking around. Who are they fooling? i was really pissed. She and her friend then mumbled in Philippine and went to the store room and made me wait for like 10 minutes and came back and told me it's not acceptable and that i should find something else to exchange it with. I told her no, i didn't find anything interesting and sure won't find anything in the future since I'm not coming back after this ridiculous treatment. She then agreed to refund the money and told me not to do it again. WTH! not to do it again? This is an international policy to refund money and you're telling not to do it again! Of course i won't, except that i won't do it at your shop.

After this intense argument, i received my 4 dinars and headed to that shop and bought my beautiful set.
The question is, did the 2 kd worth the trouble? well yeah! having 5 different brushes is like having 5 different cars for boys, i'm a glam junkie :D

The Body Shop's prices have always been that way! Their prices are actually pretty decent compared to other stores. If you want good quality, you better be prepared to pay for it.

I agree with D, you totally stumped the people who work there. I'm sure that they don't usually get people, going back to exchange what they bought, only moments after buying it.

And body shop do refund from Knet sells, i've did once in marina mall and it went smoothely. Those guys at the place i went to couldn't afford losing a sell ;)

Personally, I'm always up for a great bargain. Boots always has affordable stuff that won't put a dent in your $$. As for The Body Shop, I'm sure that one person isn't going to make that much of a difference to them, but hey, at least you got your money back, right? Go you ;)
