Neighbouring ethics

One of the emblems of civilization is to have a respected and appreciative bond between you and your neighbour. Which means that any degree of harassment or disturbance can cause conflicts between interests which may lead to aggressive behaviour of the mischiefed person. Not to mention that Islam showed profound concern about this relationship and insisted on establishing a solid foundation in which to maintain a cooperative society to be preserved for generations years to come. I quote this hadith by our prophet (pbuh): "ما زال جبرئيل يوصيني بالجار حتى ظننت انه سيورثه"

Now what you're about to read will refute anything i've said or that's been said about neighbours rights and duties.

The current situation that is happening now is the sound of continuous concrete drilling and hammering which has been going on for almost 4 days now. Not a major thing of course but, what makes it so disturbing is that it starts from 6 in the morning and ends at 4 in the afternoon nonstop. Now you can imagine how awful this can be. Especially when you want to have a good day sleep at the weekend or a nap in the afternoon. Sadly this noise comes from right down. We're renting an apartment which happens to be in the first story of the owners house himself. BIG MISTAKE i know.

Not only that. If i want to talk about how lousy, shabby and cheap neighbour he is i would run out of time and space believe me. He's so jackanapes to the point where you want to set his place on fire and laugh your guts out shamelessly.

Apart from this hideous and annoying home repair, he doesn't cease from being a pain in the a$$ himself. Let me show you how low he is in terms of dealing with human beings.

We have our own parking spaces which are marked apartment #--. Any sane and civilized person will obviously know that this parking doesn't belong to him\her even if it was the
landlord himself or his backwarded family; since they have their own parking lots. But what do they do? they occupy our spaces, them and their extended family since the landlord is a grandfather!!!! now imagine how congested the house becomes on Wednesdays!! And when we don't find a space to park, we park at their spaces, YES! they leave theirs to stop at ours! And not a minute pass by, we hear the intercom buzzing like hell demanding us to move our cars!Where do we park then? we're not frigging paying money for nothing so we have to park somewhere which is obviously our right to do so.

Another incident occured when we had my aunts and their children over for a visit. Being kids, it's pretty normal for them to play, scream and run around (in our place of course not their hideous playground). Suddenly, the father himself comes up and by the look at his face, you can tell he was quite furious (i gotta admit, i loved that scene the most hehe :P). He complained about the noise so i apologized and told him it won't happen again.

Then WTH about the home repair thing now? wouldn't we be annoyed too??!

The third incident took place when Aramex arrived to deliver my package. They rang the bell, and what a surprise, he rushed to the door though he knew that the package was mine!! I heard him over the intercom asking what was in it, where did it come from and how much did it cost!The conversation really struck me out. The fact that he's being annoying is pretty enough to be tolerated, and now he's sniffing through my stuff! It's not of his Fugging business! It's not like i've ordered explosives but i would definitely consider that as an option next time to blow out his guts happily!

I literally hate him and lost every drop of respect towards him. And sadly, his attitude is giving me enough reason to treat him exactly the same way he does. But what frustrates me the most and constrains my anger is my dads cold temper. He keeps saying: take it easy, it's not worth it, there's nothing we can do bla bla bla which really steams up my nerves! However, i'm glad about one thing, this is another quote by the prophet (pbuh) which really cools my heart:

"من كان مؤذيا لجاره من غير حق حرمه الله ريح الجنة وماواه النار ، الا وان الله عز وجل يسال الرجل عن حق جاره ومن ضيع حق جاره فليس منا"

I love my religion :D
