Beauty ... Blessing or a Curse?

I'll leave you with some incidents that had happened to me and then you'll get what my topic is all about:

• I was once going to college and it was raining that day, i stood on the sidewalk under the rain waiting for some decent human being to be humble enough to let me pass to the other road for i can't, since they were driving pretty fast. I kept cursing them in my mind since all of 'em (by coincidence) were men; they're not men! how could they not let a girl pass on such a rainy day?. Until this guy came and stopped his car in order for me to pass, i was like; ashwa el deera lel7en feha reyayel. I passed and then realized that the car hasn't move, the window shield is going down and what do i hear? walla 3ashan jamal wajhech oo 7esnech 6awaftech eb hal yom .. You a$$hole! yes he was 3gaidy! I moved on and thought to myself; there are no decent men left indeed!
• I was in Mohalab Center once to buy shaila and i stoped at a shop at the corner. Unfortunately, i couldn't find the color i wanted and so, the salesman asked me to come next week for they had to make specail one for me. I complained about not having time to come back again soon. Suddenly i hear him say in low tone of voice: laish ma tyena oo tnawrena eb jamalech. I was like SHENOOOOO!!!! he stuttered a bit and then said: laish ma tyen tnawrena eb wojodech!
• I was in Al Raya Mall coming down the escalator, holding my two scoop Häagen-Dazs ice cream and heading to work. I noticed this cute lebanese guy looking like a gentleman (since he was wearing a suit) passing by me, the moment he saw the ice-cream he said: 9a7tain ya 7elo!

WTH!!! Seriously, what is happening to men here? Aren't there any decent men left on this earth? I don't generalize but there are only few who are utterly decent, but where are they? And why do they think that girls like it when they tell 'em how much beautiful they are? I don't generalize here either, but to me, a strange guy telling me that i'm beautiful is offensive, Literaly! Because i don't have a connetion with him whatsoever so how does that qualify him to even talk to me? >=\ you don't have to tell me how i look because i damn sure know how! Not to brag or something, but i don't need a man complimenting me or doing me a favor simply because he thinks i'm pretty! What happened to the beauty of the soul? Or is it just one of the cliches nowadays?

Seriously, this is starting to piss me off. And what frustrates me the most is that i can't do anything! I can't complain, i can't respond back, i can't even take a look of disgust at them, why? becauase i can't afford to make a scene, but really, why? because they soon run away the moment they throw their trash! What a coward! At least be a man enough and stand still, better off, SHUT YOUR MOUTH in the first place.

On the other hand, i don't know why some girls smile back to this so-called compliment! They're fooling themselves, it's never a compliment and never will be. Only if it was expressed by a relative or a close friend then yes, i would consider it as a compliment. Moreover, how do i know that this guy is doing me a favor based on me not how i look or how and what i wear? The question is: would you serve an ugly girl just as the same level as to the pretty one? And thus, I have sit me a small list of what to consider an offinsive opinion that is expressed by a man:

1. You're beautiful.
2. Your clothes are nice.
3. Your make up is fresh.
4. You look different today.
5. You look fat\thin.

Maybe i'm being paranoid, but that' s my opinion and my way of thinking. I like to keep it professional when it comes to dealing with strange men. Hell, i don't have to wear "niqab" just to avoid those stupid comments. As a matter of fact, monaqabat get commented on as well so this brings me to one important thing; some men aren't decent enough to respect a girl! I think i will carry some sorta of weapon, pepper spray for example to spary their eyes sooo excessivly so that they can't tell whether the girl is pretty or not when i encounter such irritaing situation :p
